Notes

  • - All submitted works must be original creations. Works that plagiarize part or all of a third party's work, or existing winning entries from other contests, will be excluded from judging.
  • If the content described in the submitted documents differs from the facts, selection may be cancelled.
  • - The applicant bears responsibility for any legal issues arising from their intent or negligence during the application process. If such legal issues are revealed after winning, the award will be canceled and prize money recovered.
  • - Documents submitted after the application deadline will not be accepted. The applicant bears full responsibility for any file errors or damage caused by their mistakes.
  • - If contest application is not completed normally due to incorrect personal information input, the responsibility lies with the applicant.
  • Once an entry is completed, no further modifications or re-registration are possible, even within the application period.
  • - Contest schedules may change without notice due to circumstances of the organizer. The number of awarded works may be adjusted or there may be no winners depending on the number of entries and judging criteria.
  • Detailed evaluation criteria and processes are not disclosed.
  • • Submitted works must not infringe third-party rights, including portrait rights, copyrights, design rights, or other intellectual property rights. If a dispute arises from such an infringement, the entrant is responsible for handling the dispute and for any civil or criminal liability.
  • - If legal disputes such as third-party objections, plagiarism allegations, or copyright infringement arise after receiving prize money for winning works, the award may be canceled, and all prize money and equivalent benefits paid to the winner will be fully recovered.
  • - The organizer may return or destroy submitted materials upon the applicant's request. If no separate request is made, submitted materials will be destroyed immediately after the contest results announcement. However, materials for winning works will be retained for two years before destruction.
  • - Intellectual property rights (copyrights, design rights, etc.) for all materials submitted to the contest belong to the applicant. However, the following standards apply to winning works.
  • - The organizer may hold a "non-exclusive license" for the winning idea. However, if the organizer holds the non-exclusive license, specific details such as usage fees, scope of implementation, and duration shall be determined through mutual agreement.
  • - The organizer may have the right to "prioritize negotiations for the transfer of intellectual property rights, etc." regarding the winning idea for a period of four months from the date of result announcement (hereinafter referred to as the "right of priority negotiation").
  • ※ The organizer may reproduce and transmit the winning work for non-profit public interest purposes, create derivative works by obtaining usage permission through separate agreement with the winner, and engage in revenue-generating activities using the winning work.
  • ※ If the organizer uses the winning work beyond the scope announced in the contest guidelines, it shall be determined through a separate agreement with the winner.
  • - Prize money will be paid in a lump sum to the representative applicant and will not be paid in installments. (The organizer assumes no responsibility for mediation or adjustment of disputes within teams.)
  • The personal information entered at the time of prize payment must match the recipient; if there is a mismatch, the award will be cancelled.
  • The organizer is not responsible for non-payment of prizes due to errors made by the winner.
  • For any other matters not specified, the decision of the organizer shall prevail.

How should ideas be submitted?

Ideas are submitted online via the contest official website. Submissions can be in free formats (text, images, video, etc.) according to category-specific guidelines.

Ideas passing the preliminary round will be required to submit detailed idea proposal PPTs for final judging and evaluation.

What constitutes a good idea?

Please propose vehicle-based product/service ideas that can maximize the potential of Kia PBV modular structures and their applications.

Who owns the intellectual property of the ideas?

The proposer or company retains the basic rights to the proposed idea.

We will review the commercialization potential of each idea through consultation and coordinate joint development and intellectual property matters as needed.

제출된 아이디어의 지적재산권(IP)은 어떻게 보호되나요?

제출된 아이디어의 지적재산권은 참가자(사)에게 귀속됩니다. 단, 수상작에 한해 Kia와의 협의를 통해 사업화를 위한 활용 권한을 부여하며, 이 과정에서 정당한 보상을 제공합니다.

Will selected ideas lead to actual productization?

After the contest ends, we plan to select outstanding ideas and conduct internal reviews and feasibility assessments.

Subsequent consultation with partner companies will determine whether to develop, test, and commercialize a prototype; development support funding is also planned.

Entrants selected for outstanding existing products or solutions may discuss collaboration with relevant Kia departments.

Beyond prize money, comprehensive commercialization support is provided, including PoC collaboration, joint technology development, registration as an official Kia partner, and investor connections.

심사 기준이 궁금합니다.

Judging comprehensively evaluates technical completeness (30 points), market feasibility (25 points), innovativeness (20 points), PV5 connectivity (15 points), and social value (10 points).

Can the conference be attended online?

The conference will be held offline at Kia headquarters. On-site attendance is recommended for PV5 hands-on experiences and networking.
